Smile Primrose needs a new home ***No Longer For Sale***

Hi Folks, its been a while since I last checked into the club site.
I've had a few adventures with other cars, a Chrysler 300c and a Peugeot RCZ to name but two, however, the time has come to part with Primrose, I can't justify keeping her locked in a garage and SWMBO has put her foot down with a firm hand and she has to go - the car not the good lady - more's the pity, anyway, I'm going to put her up for sale here in the hope that it will go to another true 75 lover.

She has a very full service history, registered in June 2000, with just two owners from new - Wendy and me. Her last MOT was in October 2013 (which she sailed through), and she is permanently garaged.

At the time of the last MOT, I had over £1000 worth of work done on her - check with Nick at Austin Garages who has ensured that she has always been kept in tip top condition - work included a New Radiator, New A/C Condenser, New Vis Motors, New N/S/F window regulator, New O/S/F door latch and much more. The previous year I had a new cooling fan, front discs and pads, new from suspension bushes and lower anti-roll bar drop links, inner ball joints and air intake hose. She comes with a full set of Serpent alloys (including spare), she has only traveled 500 miles in the last 18 months and is just too good to leave locked in the garage.

She is a 2.5 V6 Auto Connoisseur in what must now be a very rare Primrose Yellow. 91,700 miles - in extremely fine condition. It breaks my heart to see her go but . . . . . . the time has come and she needs to be used.

£1295.00 ono. PM me if you would like a test drive etc.

Cheers

Andrew (Yellow Peril)

That is a beautiful car, and my perfect 75! I don't suppose you'd like a swap for a 1990 Rover 827 with 39,000 miles from new?

Thumbs up

Thanks for your interest, I'm not really looking for a saloon just now. I am looking for an estate as we are going to be having dogs again soon. Silly me, I sold my 08 plate 75 tourer in November and now wish I'd kept that and parted with primrose then back then.

Cheers

Beautiful example and am sure like many others wish we had a spare £1k and space. Have a bump for a lovely vehicle, sanely priced and good luck with the sale.

Thanks, she's a keeper for sure. It breaks my heart to even think about her going but, we've enjoyed 14 years of real pleasure and I know, given the full service history and the money we've spent on her that she's good for quite a few more.

Blimey, that really is lovely, and you've had it virtually from new?

Yes, it was only a few months old and had been registered to MGRover who used it to ferry people around between the Airport New Street Station and Longbridge. Wendy went out one Sunday to get some stationary from Staples, and just opposite was Evans Halshaw. She phoned me to tell me she was having a test drive in 'our new car', the rest was history. Ironically, because of the colour, Evans Halshaw had discounted it massively as they reckoned no one would want to buy a car that colour, and if you think who the intended market for these cars was back then, the thought of some middle/senior manager driving a yellow car was not a good sales opportunity.

The more I think about it the less inclined I am to part company with her.

Having seen the car at Nick's (Austin Garages) I would also be very loathed to sell it. It really is a beauty in the flesh and one that would be very difficult almost impossible to replace in that condition with the level of detail in the service carried out by Nick.
