Well we are getting there!

Mechanically all but sorted and MOT booked for Wednesday.

The cost of mechanical parts with everything is getting close to £1000

Interior has had a good scrub, mostly good new asides a plethora of cigarette burns on the carpet, now covered by a set of genuine rubber mats, if a mint blue carpet showed up at the right price...

The seats are good asides the rear having a very fine split which hasnt gone all the way down.

Sadly the door cards arent too clever as the fabric is all coming unstuck, so i will keep an eye out for some of those.

Also I have bought another one....same colour, spec, year (well near enough) engine and bodywise much much better than mine. Sadly both sills are holed and the autobox is faulty, its has the oil changed and some solenoids replaced but it still is very jerky and hesitant....so it was donate both bumpers, bonnet and boot and a drivers door as mine is very badly bent.

The engine on the donor is very sweet and had its belts done last year so if anyone is after a cheap sweet V6 2.0 let me know,

All being well she will be at the Midlands nano Meet this month..

Hi Tim,

Best wishes in all you are doing with the old girl Tim,she looks absolutely gorgeous now, another Cowley saved well done mate,a credit to you Sir,us Cowley owners have to stick together while we still can.

Hope you don't mind me posting a couple of pics of the old girl.

Many thanks for sharing Tim,as said best wishes safe & many happy years motoring with your new aquisition.

Regards.....John.

I saw your lovely duotone at Eden camp, it’s glorious

I collected a donor car at the weekend which is providing a few bits, bodywise it’s much better than the S reg but it’s got rotten sills and a poorly gearbox is which is a shame as it’s a 99 connoisseur in the same colour.

Well still very frustrated but the non working horns were my fault, the windows packed up (switch pack) and it was running like a pig....traced down to a split O ring in the fuel rail

CAM position sensor and both VIS motors are shot so they are on the list come pay day.....

wont make the nano meet in it but should make Long bridge.
