Good day on the Beach fishing, the boys caught more than the old man as usual
However I also had cooking duties to keep them fed and watered

Lonely days are long
Twilight sings a song
All the happiness that used to be

Soon my eyes will close
Soon I'll find repose
And in dreams, you're always near to me

I'll see you in my dreams
And then I'll hold you in my dreams

Cool

Today didn’t go to plan. For a start I got up an hour before I needed to.
But left on time as I was going to a fund raising event at Birnbeck Pier, up the road from Westo-Super-Mare. However the A38 had other ideas. After sitting in the stationary traffic 75 minutes I finally got going only to hit more stationary traffic a few miles on. That cleared pretty quick but by now I had lost interest so turned for home.

Cut the lawn at the back and trimmed the lawn on the orphan land out the front. Had a long chat with a neighbour about the weather.
Picked another load of strawberries and gave them to my neighbours across the road.

Today would have been my Mum’s 111th birthday, so I’m raising a glass or two to celebrate.

Roast Chicken dinner was brilliant.

Potatoes roasted in 20 minutes, Carrots about 12 minutes and a whole extra large chicken took an hour .
Quick and easy with tasty results and minimum washing up. I'm very happy and would highly recommend the Ninja outdoor BBQ/Air Fryer thingy

Just ordered tickets for Dad and I for Brands Hatch on the 1st of July.

The Super Touring Power event. This will feature racing of period correct touring cars from the 60's, 70's 80's and the Super Touring period of the 90's & 00's

Would have loved a trip up to Knockhill this year but need to save a few pounds. Maybe next year.

Possibly will pop along to catch some more tracked action at Snetterton at some point in the summer.....We shall see.

Good morning Jeff, fortunately I managed to get back to sleep. Yesterday we had to buy Jessica another iPhone as her old one suddenly stopped working. She had only had it just over a year and out of warranty.

In trying to restart the old one when she clicked on restore, nothing happened but the phone shop said most of the data and apps had been erased. Fortunately with the new phone they have been restored from the cloud but the old phone could not be saved. She decided on getting a new iPhone 11 even though they are not new

So you are having a day off today Jeff from photo shoots. Hopefully when you are retired you will still have your health and will be making your own fun. Even though I don’t work anymore, I rarely get bored.

Brands Hatch will be great day out for your Dad and yourself.

We have the water board visiting as they want to change the meter and run a few tests. The forecast is 28C
