Any joy with the rubber thingy?
Have it back on the road BUT! I am the 14th owner and the previous 13 seem to have been brought up in the meat trade (butchers). When I bought it for £300 some 4 years ago the water pump was leaking but drove it home 12 miles very geently. managed to replace the water pump but on the way back the speedo wasnt working. Cahnged the drivers side wheel bearing which someone had cut off and gouged the axle and banged on the new bearing disturbing the magnetic shield on the bearing. When replaced the speedo worked as did the ABS.
Since then ahve done some tings to the gearbox as it jumped out of 3rd and whilst dropping the sub-frame founf the washers for the mouning were inverted, some engine cover bolts broken etc.
No matter; its still on the up (as long as I can managed to creep under it when its on stands. Would like a 4 post car hoist but SWMBO is still a bit anti.
