Had a massive double adult sidecar fitted for a time, and he still occasionally accidentally popped the front up when pulling away sharpish.

If I'd had the cash when he sold it, I'd have had it and kept it 'til I was old enough to ride it.
Yes - mine is 1986.

Identical to this but I've added some chrome bits such as radiator cover.

Nice bike! Thats the pretty much the same, except the engine and mods. I think his was a dark blue wth silver panels on the tank. And seeing that photo, I was wrong, it had V-Max shocks on the rear, and it was the original rear springs that were used to beef up the front.

I've got a 2007 Harley FXDC Super Glide, which gets loaded up with saddlebags, tent (a "3 man" - tried one of those little "1 man" jobbies and never again) and as many items that'll make my trip more comfortable that I can strap to the bike, then I head off around the UK, to as many rally's (usually H-DRCGB) as I can afford.
Also got a 1975 Triumph Bonneville (which doesn't get ridden anymore) which I've had from new.

I have loved riding bikes since the 1970s.

My current bike is a Triumph Daytona 955i.
I bought it in the summer last year.
The bike is now 18 years old and covered 11,000 miles.

But, I tell you what, it makes me feel 18 years old again when I ride it.

I used to ride in all weathers, but now it is something for a blast on a fine day.

Mines a Honda CB 1,000R.

20,000 on the clock and no problems so far.

Seems to do all things well. A bit too much throttle in 1st or 2nd lifts the front wheel off the road.

Keep getting told by SWMBO that I'm too old at 80 for a 150mph bike.---

But I like getting to 60mph in 3.5 seconds. Lol. Sort of addictive really.

Talking

Got a Triumph Thunderbird 1700 (2010) and a Honda VF750sc (1982) to play with.

Notice there are more 'old' riders than young, so is it a dying activity? I'm accelerating to 60
