Default General moan about my swimmingpool

Okay, I have had the 75 and posted about the leaks and other issues. I did the rear light gaskets, sealed up the boot vent things but need to do the plenum checks when I get time.

Today, however, I went to put the rear seat back down as it was loose when I bought the car. I now know why. When I lifted the noise supression, the car was flooded underneath1 The foam is soaked and I have squeezed and rubbed at the stuff but there is so much water I don't know how to dry the thing out! Under the rear seat is also soaked. I presume I have done the leaks now, but I need to get the thing dry.

If I can work out how, I'll upload a picture. Any ideas how to dry it out?

Best is to remove all the carpet and felt, then leave it under cover outside to drain and air dry thoroughly - that involves taking out the front seats and console. Second best, is to use an Aquavac type thing, suck out as much water as possible, then hope for the best, leaving windows open an inch in the sun. A proper dehumidifier left running inside would help.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

Best stripping out the whole interior and doing it properly. Give everything a thorough clean too, whilst it's out.

Thanks. My mechanical abilities don't allow me to remove the center console. I have a Vax which I am going to use to remove the worst of the water and suck out of the foam as much as I can, but I failed even to remove the soundproofing foam as I couldn't get it from under the back seat back rest! The inside carpets seem sound, and the boot carpets seem to have dried. Now it's just the seat and that NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD- liner.

It's a ruddy menace! I just hope I've sorted the leak now, but I do need to get them pleniums checked just as soon as it stops raining!

Water is a NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-.
