Default All the best laid plans.......!!!

Unfortunately Zeds trips have had to be postponed as Ashley, whilst pushing the non starting Rover 75, ruptured his achilles tendon.

Zed is still making himself useful as the following pictures show:

He is seen talking to Bertie in the back of the 75 as to whether the weight of "Harry" was the straw that broke the camels b..........Ashleys achilles

He then helps to fit the new battery.....................have to say here a great thanks to Trikey who diagnosed the cars problem immediately ...........something we had ignored as the battery was under a year old. ( still under guarantee so can get our money back.) We were thinking it was going to be the starter solenoid problem which is well talked about on this forum.

He is then helping Ashley do up the velcro on his "air boot" around his snapped achilles.

Finally he sits back for a few minutes rest with Bubba and the bear with no name!

Zed finally managed to get away for a few day fishing North of Dundee. Pictures show him getting a lesson from Oscar, choosing which type of line to use, checking the rods and net and then finally relaxing overlooking the water.

Some nice fish caught but since we were doing catch and release and Ashley does not like to remove them from the water so as to try and reduce the stress for the fish, we were busy releasing them safely whilst still in the water rather than take pictures. ( obviously using barbless hooks help )

As for Ashley , things seem to be healing, the boot is off and now down to physio.

Thanks

2 more trips for Zed have now been cancelled due to covid. On Saturday he was coming up with us to loch ness but since we are in tier 3 here, we are not allowed to leave our council area . ( city of Edinburgh) "Ideal Cottages" were very good and a refund came in 24 hours.......the fastest yet for the year!

Zed has been helping in the garage again, this time fitting a boost gauge and an oil pressure gauge to the Impreza.

Next job is taking the front seats out the Rover 75 as the "airbag light" is back on

I will post some pics with him helping out soon.

Stay safe folks.

Good to know he is still earning his keep. And that you are all keeping well.

Best to be safe than sorry.
