Default Prince Philip - RY Britannia - Albatross Marine

Not sure if this a well known fact or not.
Amongst the "toys" HRH had on board the Royal Yacht, was an Albatross Aluminium (inboard) speed / ski boat.

Via the "old speedboats" website there are (were) a few photos of it both stowed, and being launched (with a derrick)

Some years ago it turned up on ebay, and scrolling down the link below, you should find some relevant photos.

Albatross Marine were at St. Olaves, on the Broads.

Hope this is of light interest, during our week of mourning.

Regards

Mike
