Default Help please (fairly urgent)

Just trying to replace my standard (Harmony) head unit

Followed the guides to get the unit out (chopped up credit card trick worked a treat!)

BUT................

I can't get the multi-plug to relinquish it's grip. Managed to get the chunky plastic "sleeve" to go up but that didn't help. Then I prised it off altogether, but still the plug is hanging on....

Each time I try to force it off, small bits of plastic are pinging off and I'm afraid of totally knackering it. Has anyone got any cunning advice here?!?

Aah the BMW ICE plug

On top of the plug is a little diagram showing how to lift it up and off. If you have managed to get the sleeve up then it is fairly straightforward to pull and separate the two.

I can't add much to Mike's response other than to say on mine it was exactly the same and a ****** to remove - just keep at it and it comes off ... eventually!!

Gulp!

As I say, the slidey bit is off entirely - just afraid I'll wreck the plug and then "bye, bye" in car music (unless I get a new loom!)

Well, I got it off........

Turns out I was trying to split the plug in two, didn't realise the whole thing had to come out!

Doh, doh, and more doh!

Still, it works and the stereo is in

(and I think I really DO need glasses......)
