Anyone got a Blaupunkt Casablanca?

If so, can you read the bottom line of the display?

I fitted one last weekend (see here )

It's a good unit, with the exception of the display! If you crouch down to gear lever level, you can read it, but anywhere from above, and you can't

The suppliers initially said that it was probably faulty, but now say that all Casablanca's are like this, and it's a design fault. I guess if the unit could slot into the fascia at an angle, down at the back, it might be workable, but as it is......

I'm hoping that the suppliers will be good enough to swap the unit for a similar model with a better display

(btw, went for this model as it's a HDD mp3 player with enough capacity for around 500+ albums!)

They have addmitted its faulty by saying its a design fault. I would just ask for your money back under the sale of goods act as it cannot do what it is meant to. Then get a different one. They in law also have to refund your return Postage.

True - problem is that I like what the unit can do, but not sure if I can live with this fault!!!!
