Drove it 50 miles west, test drove something newer, then drove 50 miles east again.

After a walk with the hound, I filled the boot with an old carpet that had originated from Mrs MB's 75, and some other tat and junk, then drove it to the tip.

It needs a wash, but then again I cut the grass instead

This afternoon after having the car jacked up for what seems like weeks, I finally got round to removing the nearside font strut to replace the spring. I followed several useful guides on the 'how to' forum but for some reason I was unable to get the wishbone to drop out of the lower ball joint. This was the bolt that was a devil to remove on Thursday that I had to drill out.

So I gave up and compressed the spring and took the top half of the strut out of the hub, had to give up at this point and cook some tea.

Try again tomorrow.

I could have started in the morning, but I went to my allotment instead and moved abut 3/4 ton of rotted compost about in wheelbarrows

Yes it was, however the clutch was very high, and the dealer wasn't willing to negotiate on price.

It was low mileage, but had been driven by somebody with little or no mechanical sympathy, or hard of hearing and elderly

Plenty more out there to look at

Looks nice, but your right, if it's not the one just walk away. The last thing you want is a modern that needs work, that's kind of defeating the object.

Took the 75 for a short break in Somerset to celebrate my daughters birthday. Few highlights:
1: Bath Arms Hotel in Cheddar was superb
2: Great to see half a dozen 75s in Weston, 2 Maestros in Banwell and be overtaken by a 214SLi tonking down on the M4
3:Cruising at the legal limit is definitely its favourite pass time. I usually get about 400 to a tank but on the way back Range + Trip = 560 (roughly equates to 42mpg).

Took the ZTT down to Barton and collected a huge care package which included a full HK set and the exceptionally rare DVD set up and a pair of pristine window seals (the ones that corrode) which are now fitted and looks the dogs! Also swapped the fitted a good glove box to replace my damaged one😀

Being having a very slight wheel bearing noise so replaced both and one arm and cleaned and painted other arm and fitted polyflex bushes also got a bit carried away and cleaned and POR15 hubs and everything else lol

POR15 again after fitting tyre protectors and cleaning and greasing top mounts

Next job got started then rain started.

Today I finally got round to spraying the face lift wheel centres coupe of coats and a few hours apart then one clear coat to finish, later tonight I added the badges and tomorrow I will peel off the protective cover and then add one more coat of clear spray.
