Talking New toy has arrived

New toy arrived last night... 2000 Conny V6 auto in Atlantic Blue with most of the options on the order sheet ticked... all for the princely sum of £250. It needs an exhaust centre section and an hour with a wire brush and a tin of stonechip to get it through the MoT... last MoT had an advisory for "slight play in nearside balljoint" (didn't say which one though) but it has done 18 miles since then. So, recommission, trip to see the friendly MOT man (who drives a 75 Club CDT), then start to shine up the paintwork!

Very nice - I think this is the best shade of blue Rover did

Look forward to seeing it in it's full glory.

Can't see the results of the hour with the wire brush and stonechip, but the results of the hour in the engine bay... now to start ordering the stainless fasteners...!

Gorgeous in Atlantic Blue! Such a striking colour, and one that it's a shame wasn't offered for longer!

Default Another one saved!

Well... she passed her MOT on Monday... slight fluid leak from somewhere (which now seems to have disappeared - may have been the coolant which gushed EVERYWHERE when I changed it last weekend), offside numberplate light out and rear numberplate delaminating... otherwise clean sheet and ready to go! Just needs a couple of paint scuffs and a parking ding sorting now, but she's on the road and has already done 4x the mileage she'd done since her last MOT.

Quite chuffed that another 75 which would otherwise have gone for scrap is now back on the road!

Thanks to everyone who's provided help and advice, and special thanks to Phil-T4 and Woolleysox for helping out with parts.
