Default Lpg

been trying to get LPG around the leicester area for over 6 wks now. just wondered if other people are having the same problems across the uk. autogas has been unavailable many times in the past but never this long without. i do realise that there are shortages within the industry due to current events globally but are other LPG members all experiencing the same ?

I realise it's Gloucestershire but the availability here has dropped significantly.
Even a local garage that did conversions has stopped doing them and does not sell lpg anymore.
3 local Shell garages stopped selling it last year with pumps now removed too.
Unfortunately it's not going to get any better.
Pity as my 2 lpg cars were very affordable to run but I won't be buying lpg cars anymore.

Shell have completely stopped selling LPG, I believe. A few BP forecourts still do LPG, as do some Morrisons supermarkets but I'm not aware of any other major distributors still in business.

Morrisons still sell it round our way (Cambs), but have you trie the lpg suppliers - those that do tanker deliveries, sell cylinders etc. Usually the cheapest too.

Another factor is that when retailers are due to have their tanks inspected for safety etc, a legal requirement, they are not bothering and simply closing them down.
Such a pity when you see how clean and cheap the fuel is.
Vauxhall used to make duel fuel cars 20 years ago but that didn't seem to catch on except for taxi driver customers.
