I used a "connects2" with my Symphony HU for a while and it was barely useable but was the best thing available.

Having changed to an Alpine HU with specific IPOD control and display, I have to say, in retrospect, that the "Connects2" is actually diabolical

Default Are you sure?

I've looked up and down on the connects2 website but they state for the multimedia adaptors that they require a Hi line Sat nav HU for the adapter to be functional. I do not have one of these i have the base model symphony Low line no Sat nav at all.

Probablly the Rover ISO plug behind it.

I think.

Are facia plates easally come by? As i'm leaning towards gonig for a new Alpine HU with ipod controls.

My OEM HU was the Rover Symphony with no satnav.

It has standard ISO connectors.

If you decide to go for an aftermarket HU, please can I suggest that youdon't bother with the "offset" fascia panels so ubiquitously available on fleabay.

I bought one and didn't even complete fitting it before I decided that it looked, in my opinion, totally gash.

Well worth paying the extra for a genuine one.
