New stereo
At last, after a month with no sounds, I've got a new stereo in!
Not the easiest install ever, even with the right leads and stuff, but never mind..... This is before:- During:- After:- I'm reasonably happy with the look of the thing but not keen on the fact that there's a gap under the head unit:- Not sure that the stereo really suits the look of the car, but I just had to have one with a hard drive attached (sitting in the glove box). Not too chuffed about this gap, and also couldn't get the plastic under the "eyebrow" back in.... Also, there was an unconnected cable block when I took the old one out:- Any ideas? |

Hopefully the proper OEM single DIN fascia will come back on stream and you will be able to refit.

This is a spacer that fits around the chassis of the radio before you put it into the adaptor. It will keep the radio out by about 10mm and should be enough to cover the gap. Hope this helps.

Yup, I did get that, but it stuck the whole lot out too much AND you could still see the gap. Any other suggestions gratefully received!!
