Default So many 'this just in posts'

Just a thought, and this is certainly not intended as a criticism, but would it perhaps be better / possible to have just one 'this just in' post a day listing all the new users rather than so many individual posts which do seem to clog up the board a little?

Certainly, new members should be welcomed and made to feel welcome but perhaps the system just needs a little 'fine tuning'

Just realised that this has already been mention on another 'just in' thread . . . perhaps illustrating the point I'm trying to make.

Techinally harder to do I am afraid, as it is automated and associated with the registration process. We will be keeping an eye on it - think about it though - if we have so many we are being quite sucessful as a club

Cheers

Hi Chris: I thought it might be technically more difficult and yes, of course, it's great that so many are coming on board each day and long may it continue. As I say, my comment was meant in a constructive way. thanks for your response.

Not sure what they have over there - I think they just post to a specific welcome forum that can only be viewed and not posted to - it may be an option but a pretty cold one in my view?!

I quite like to see these pop up in the social forum, now that they are locked and can no longer be flooded with greetings, they pose no problem for regular posters who can just ignore them if they wish. They do however serve to indicate to all just how popular this forum and club is.
