Climate control temps - 15 min fix.
Is your climate control not maintaining a consistent temperature, despite the diagnostics saying all is fine? if it's like mine was, then it's probably the aspirating sensor.
To the left and slightly down of your steering wheel is a small grille in the dash, it lives here. To fix: 1) Remove the two panels around and below the steering column (two screws at the join, pull off the upper panel - three clips - and then remove the two wind out placcy things behind the pedals holding the lower panel). 2) Look up behind where that grille is and you'll see a ribbed plastic pipe running from there to a "Dyson nozzle" arrangement on the heater box which provides the necessary suck effect. At the dash end, feel for the sensor and wiggle it out of the clips in the dash. 3) Disconnect its wiring and carefully pull it off the tube. 4) Inspect and clean. If it's anything like mine, it'll be thoroughly caked in an insulating layer of fluff so it measures fluff temperature rather than air temperature. Just blow it the bulk of it off and use a small paintbrush to remove any recalcitrant bits. Reassembly is the reverse of dismantling. Enjoy "as new" climate control.

Excellent - just needs some photo's to be turned into a how-to. Never even considered that this might be full of fluff/muck. Now you say it, it seems obvious.

Do you think that putting a vacuum cleaner pipe over the grill and sucking would clean out the fluff ??
