Default Rattling Door Cards

Hi all,
I have a D.Din WinCE head unit which is connected to a Vibe Slick A1 amp (4 x75 watts RMS) which powers Focal Access 156AS in the front doors and Kenwood KFC-P602 in the rear doors, the system sounds great but I'm having problems with the front door cards rattling.

Any ideas on how to stop it?

Thanks

Not an expert but it sounds like when the cards were removed to fit new speakers, they have not been refitted properly. Try taking them off and fitting them again, check all clips and fixings are in good condition and replace as necessary

The 2 black clips in the middle need to attach to the card, then fitted to the door.
I did it the other way round and it rattled for ages.
Fitted them the right way last week, no problems so far!

Black clips fixed to card before fitting and new clips where needed.
Over the last 5 years and owning 5 ZTs I can remove/refit these cards with my eyes shut.
Thanks anyway.

Any other ideas?

First of all what is actually rattling, because a common issue once the door cards are removed is the lock button vibrating, as it fed through the hole in the door card on refitting it must move it somehow. It can be cured by sticking one of those felt pad thingies on the inside of the door card next to the lock button.

Do you have the proper fir tree clip in the top of the door card near to the lock button, it is different to the ones on the bottom of the card and it can cause a rattle if replaced with the wrong type

Its the whole door card!
The Focal speakers are great and do have good bass, if I have the door open and push the card with both hands then this stops the rattle a bit.
I can't have a half full bottle of water in the door as this rattles as well.

I'm having the same problem, and oddly enough, I was just outside tinkering with the door cards before finding the thread.

Trebor is spot on, after the door cards have been removed once, the lock buttons rattle a hell of a lot. Rest your finger on top of one while playing some music!

Sound deadening makes a tremendous difference. to both sound quality and curing a few pesky rattles. I have installed 5 rolls of exactly what MangoMan posted above. No it's not cheap, but it works ! Although i still have one re-occuring rattle from the top front corners of my front cards

Let us know what solves it when you... err...Solve it
