London & SE convoy to Pride of Longbridge

Hi, I am trying to get together a small convoy from SE England and London for the Pride of Longbridge 2011

There are 2 meeting points.

People from South:
M25 Clackett Lane services [clockwise] 7am

People from North:
M40 Beaconsfield services [northbound] 8am

Anyone on here that is interested. Put your name down and which place you will be meeting at and then I can add you to thread on mg-rover.org.

All will be legal driving.

Hi,
Just wondering what is the itinerary? What is the cost? What will we all be doing? Do we need accomodation?
Looks interesting and we've never been on a meet but we love our Rover.
What does it mean - all will be legal driving? What is illegal driving then?

The cost is, well..... FREE!!!

We basically park up in the park over the road from the factory. It's a gaint car meet- usually about 2-300 cars there, MGs, Rovers, Austins of all ages from the factory.

Legal Driving, 70mph. I put this on for people that might like to speed and have 'races' on the motorway. We don't want any accidents basically!

Looks good. Will try and get there. Its obviously for people who are proud of their cars, marque and car industry. Dont think any politicians will be coming!

Back in the 70's, Rover/BL and Peugeot/Citroen had the same problems. Now look at them. The difference - government. Who made the correct decision?

Could you tell me the exact date we are supposed to be there?
Sorry I sound so blur....I thought I saw Feb on the posting - then again there were also dates in April.

April 16th 10 am to 4 pm as far as im aware
