Default Resonating fascia trim on my 2005 rover 758

The very thin faux wood trim around the instrument cluster resonates much of the time. A light finger pressure completely stops it.
How can I get some sealant between the inner edge of the trim and its backing moulding?
Can the trim prised off enough to get some ingress? Have other Members had this problem?

The later plastic trim is renknowned for this, a lot of owners retro fit the early real veneer which is a better fit. Yes you can remove it, there's a detailed thread in the "how to" section, interior. 😎
