keep seeing these term but unfortunately still haven't got a clue what 'aero' or 'flat' means - so if one bit me on the **** i wouldn't know which it was
I have discovered some come with 'a spoiler' fitted - usually just on the drivers side i think - presumably helps with contact

Im sure normal blades do the job most of the time, but as i said the Aero/flat blades look nicer and wont bend, break, lift or wear as quickly. Of course the law of diminishing returns applies to the cost compared to cheap conventional blades, but i wouldn't swap back.
One other advantage on more modern cars is that they conform to a more rounded screen better than the old style blades.

Bosch Aerotwins for me.
Wouldn't even entertain using the OEM ones - I would expect they are hideously expensive (My Dad's Kia's aeros are £40 for genuine ones!) Used cheapo's in the past and they are fine... but after a few months they are rubbish. The Bosch's weren't cheap (£22 for the pair), but still wipe well (although not "perfect" like they used to). Plus I like the looks... Was meaning to grab some from Aldi to try them, but they didn't have any listed for our cars... |
