keep seeing these term but unfortunately still haven't got a clue what 'aero' or 'flat' means - so if one bit me on the **** i wouldn't know which it was

I have discovered some come with 'a spoiler' fitted - usually just on the drivers side i think - presumably helps with contact

Flat/Aero:

And yes you can standard blades with spoilers, these are designed to keep the blade pressed on the screen at high speed.

Im sure normal blades do the job most of the time, but as i said the Aero/flat blades look nicer and wont bend, break, lift or wear as quickly. Of course the law of diminishing returns applies to the cost compared to cheap conventional blades, but i wouldn't swap back.

One other advantage on more modern cars is that they conform to a more rounded screen better than the old style blades.

Aldi's £5 a pair, next on special next thursday, along with the bulb kits. Work fine for me.

Bulb kit great as an emergency just keep a set in the boot.

Bosch Aerotwins for me.

Wouldn't even entertain using the OEM ones - I would expect they are hideously expensive (My Dad's Kia's aeros are £40 for genuine ones!)

Used cheapo's in the past and they are fine... but after a few months they are rubbish. The Bosch's weren't cheap (£22 for the pair), but still wipe well (although not "perfect" like they used to).

Plus I like the looks...

Was meaning to grab some from Aldi to try them, but they didn't have any listed for our cars...
