Swore at it, swore at it again, and then for good measure I swore at it some more.

The front brake caliper has gone kapput. It's not quite seized, but it's not far off it. And boy oh boy am I in the dog house .

It's the wife's birthday today, so we set off to do several things that she enjoys............ a mile down the road and her day was over

Today I thought I'd check the Shannon tube, and this is what I found.

Hi Jim.
Not unusual to find the original Shannon tube in poor condition, but I must confess that is one of the worst I have seen easy to replace though, good luck Arctic

Yes, it was not quite what I expected to find!

A new section of ducting is on the way so hopefully it will look better soon.

Cheers,
Jim

I hope that the ducting will be here in a few days time. I'll get some pics taken, and let you know how it goes.

today i flushed the cooling system twice to remove all the muck from previous owners (been meaning to do this since i purchased the car), tomorrow i will do it again and then fill with new antifreeze after i replace the lower coolant rail as it appears to be made of solid rust and is leaking! (have had a small loss of coolant for a few months now at least i now know where it is going).

mark.

Default New Tyres

Bought two new tyres for the front today, Accelera's at £52.50 each fully fitted including VAT.
They seem to have a very nice sporty tread pattern and tyre wall, if you're into that sort of thing.

Fuel efficiency: C.
Wet Grip: C.
Noise: 72dB.
