Mum (98) fell in the house last night. Ambulance took an hour. 45 minutes assessment, then took to hospital. 1 hour wait in ambulance. Moved into A&E triage. Assessed and sent to X ray. Sent back to reception. Wait half an hour. See doctor. Mum's arm is broken just under the shoulder. Fitted with a sponge sling and sent home with Cocodamol (she lives on her own!). Appointment at fracture clinic Friday! My mum is bulletproof! If she was running the country???

Cool

My neighbour Kelsey got me to sit in the sun this afternoon. It was bloomin lovely. Pain getting out there and even worse getting back but my neighbour has a kind heart and lots of encouragement.
Going to try again tomorrow providing the sun is out.

Morning/afternoon all,

Was a grey start to the day but it has brightened up and not much wind.

Nice morning spent down on the boat. Heading back home soon though.

Ian, I know you are interested in railways, have you ever seen That's TV (Sky 171, Freeview 56). It regularly shows a program "Trainspotting", vintage railway films, steam and an occasional diesel. Its usually on early afternoon. Today is the last for this week, on again Monday.

No I've not seen that program, mind you, I can't remember the last time I turned the TV on.

Just made a bunch of small cottage pies topped with Stilton cheese in ramekin dishes.

I also like the old 'Railway Roundabout' series, narrated by the late Peter woods (BBC news reader)
