Sadly, the pictures in my previous project threads has gone down with the "photobucket-ship", which is an important element of the experience I have posted during the years

Well he certainly is a very capable chap!

Shame the photos have gone, but his engine rebuild thread was a very interesting read when they were there:

https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...d.php?t=146867

As was the cambelt replacement thread:

https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...d.php?t=204919

And a pioneering way to change the ATF:

https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...d.php?t=124816

Einar, if you could replace the photos in that thread it would be a big help for everyone wanting to change their ATF.

I have moved to Imgur - far better, quicker and easier to use than photoracket ever were.

Hi Mike,

I will see what I am able to do in my tight schedule. I tried flickr a few days ago, and that one seems OK.

Thanks for the link, you have my appreciation too if you could restore the images. I’ll PM you the name of the Norwegian, might be a prospective buyer but then again if it’s the same guy then perhaps not.

Regards

There is a way to restore the photos blocked by Photobucket.
It takes time but I’ve done it after reading this on another post.

Go onto the topic then click on edit then Insert ~original in front of the last bracketed figure thus [IMG]

You have to play around the keyboard a bit to get the ~ but it’s there.

If you check on “My two 75’s “ topic the first two pages I tried this with success.

I will go on again to re introduce some more photos today as the weather prohibits me from going outside to work on my project.

It still works just done page 3 so I’ve a lot of editing to do guys.
BTW it only works on your own posts as you can’t edit someone else’s posts.

A big thank you for this tip! I have now brought back the pictures on my three threads linked to above!

I have also updated the project thread on the dark site where it all started....: http://forums.mg-rover.org/mg-zt-rov...advice-406154/

I have at the moment found an object close to me. Its a blue -02 tourer with a 2,5 KV6 and auto box. Full leather interior and all extras. A pretty rare combination to be found in Norway. The car has its issues and are sold as a repair object with the price listening at rock bottom. It has been parked up indoor for the last 4 years due to a failed MOt (rear brakes) and a leaking radiator due to a bird crash. The owner tried K-seal in it, but has clogged up the whole cooling system. No heat in the heater and cooling system gets pressurized. Basically, I think this could be a nice project. A new rad + complete cleanup of the cooling system might do the trick. The rest is probably new brake components to the rear, and a timing belt + service components. Always expect some more issues to be found, but it would be nice to "save" this car.

The issue is, I do not have time or space for it. My common sense tells me to walk away, but there is something with these cars that get under your skin. My V6 is parked away for the winter, so there is space for some 5-6 months available in my driveway. My wife would not be happy.... I have not looked at it yet, but are tempted to...

What to do..??
If you should buy it, check the oil cooler for K-Seal blockage, I have a limo that had many of the same symptoms - pressurised cooling system, no heat etc. We found a marble-sized lump of congealed K-seal in the oil cooler, removed it, and a lot of problems went away .

A "reality check" made me decide not to buy this time I think I shall rather spend my time enjoying my Rover 75 and prepare for a bodywork restoration on my Morris Oxford -68

There will always be temptations coming up as long as you browse the adverts daily
