Screenwasher woes
My screenwasher has died. I replaced the pump. I also replaced the battery at the same time, as, like me it was getting on a bit. I checked fuse F9-still good. I disconnected the battery for an hour to reset the BCU. I still have no screenwasher pump, and I found out later that the remote controls on the steering wheel (for the radio) no longer work, although everything else seems OK. Could the pump failure and the radio controls failure be connected? The radio still works fine. Any ideas please?

Did you pop out and wash the washer motor filter that the pump inlet sits in, they often get clogged up.

It is a new pump, and the old one spins when I give it 12volts directly! Just not on the car. Does the low water level sensor stop the pump working?

Have you checked the wiring from the plug on the pump upwards? They have been known to corrode about 8-10" upwards of the connector.
