The blow lamp protection mats are quite flat/ thinnish and are probably around a foot square and are only a couple of quid in a plumbers or central heating suppliers

Ok thanks I'll try to find these materials.

I've used lumps of foam between all those rubber pipes and metal edgings from the time I bought the car --13 years ago. It has worked perfectly for all that time. ( plus the cable tie on the air-con pipes. )

Cabin heater exhaust excepted.

COLVERT.

Thanks COLVERT

While the engine was running, I didn't see any leaks from the power steering pump or hoses/pipes around it.

I'll fix the rubber pipe touching FBH exhaust issue first.

You can buy some lagging to go over the FBH exhaust which helps protect any pipes that sit close to it

So I used a tie plastic cable as you did to !

While I was filming the pipes and hoses, looking for any leaks right after the engine startup, I smelled something burning and then I noticed smoke coming out of engine bay .....

I looked under the car to check the FBH exhaust, no visible smoke was coming out whereas on the video we can hear the FBH working.

There was a pipe touching the FBH exhaust, the pipe was burning

I used cable ties to prevent the hose from touching the exhaust (temporary fix).

Hi Leo.
Your intercooler hose is past its best now anyways, as it as swollen and is porous, have you noticed it is wet sticky, slimly, after a certain mileage this happens, a new hose will not touch the FBH exhaust, link below.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ROVER-75-...wAAOSwyvBV-C5O

you could also modify a BMW alloy intercooler pipe with some short hoses.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/263957255024

Good time to check the intercooler O-rings at the same time use only Viton O-rings.

Hi Trebor, I went to the some local stores but unfortunately I couldn't find the same item so I bought it from eBay, thanks !

Until I receive the lagging cover, I would like to temporarily turn off the FBH, to prevent further damage to the pipe(s) next to the FBH exhaust.
Can you confirm me that by removing the fuse F8, the FBH won't be working anymore ?
I'll just have to plug the fuse back once the sagging cover received and installed, and then the FBH will start working normally right ?

Hi Artic, thank you really much for your help, I really appreciate

The previous owner told me that his mechanic changed the intercooler a few years ago, but I guess he didn't change the hose ... The intercooler rings don't seem to be leaking on mine.

I bought the FBH exhaust cover (thanks to Trebor), I will buy the new hose later (thank you for the links).
My main goal right now is to find and fix the leaks, but so far, I haven't found any with the engine idling.
I'll turn off the FBH (if it's possible) and drive for 20 minutes, maybe it's only leaking when driving.
