Default Help needed with heater blower

Hi,

I have a 2004 automatic 75 that I'm struggling to replace the heater blower. As you can imagine at this time of year, what with low temperatures, especially here in rural France, driving can be a but awkward, I have to have a plug in ceramic heater to try to demist the screen.

I did get a local mechanic to have a go a fitting the replacement, but despite taking the screws out and unplugging it, he had to admit defeat, probably due to the fact that you have to be a contortionist to access it under the dash.
So I would like that have a go myself, but despite doing a search on here plus on goggle search engine, there doesn't seem to be any advice on what needs to be removed to take the old part out.
So has anyone done this with an automatic, did the pedal box have to be removed, or is it the dash out?
Any help/suggestions will be much appreciated.

Warm regards,

Marc

Remove the coupling for the steering column at the bottom joint and move the lower part of the column out of the way, there is no need to move the pedals on the auto.

Hi Marc.
Is your car left hand drive or right hand drive, also is this the part below you are referring too.

Thanks Trikey, will have a look how to do that and perhaps have a go at the weekend.

Kind regards,
Marc

No, it's not that part, wish it was though, as that's pretty easy to change in comparison with the heater blower.
Thank you for your input
