Varta or Bosch

Hi looking for a new battery and the only difference with the 096 ones above is that the Bosch is £5 dearer. Both are the same specs and warranty. So please chip in with your thoughts ?

Bosch for me. No scientific evidence, but it’s what I would pick up given the choice...

I would pluck for the Varta
Varta E44 278L x 175W x 190H Wet 12V 77Ah 780A £71.95

Then the
Bosch S5008 278L x 175W x 190H Wet 12V 77Ah 780A £77.50

You also have
Yuasa YBX5096 278L x 175W x 190H Wet 12V 80Ah 740A £79.99

Varta batteries were used in German U-Boats. ( sorry - i'll get my anorak ).

The Bosch and Varta batteries when I was looking at them last year were identical, both physically and specs.

I plumped for the Varta E44 as it was £5 or 6 cheaper.

Yes , but the Bosch label looks better when you open the bonnet ! Worth a fiver at showtime ................
