Strange IPK display
Hello,
I am Japanese. Please forgive me for my poor English. Will begin the main subject. From a year ago, the IPK often looks like pictures. Does anyone know what caused it to look like these pictures? Thank you |

You need a new one display like this one: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Display-f...IAAOSw1NxfK3~n
I bought one of them and then sent my IPK off to Rick in England for fitting, result was 100% line free and I'm very happy. You might be able to find someone locally who can fit it, otherwise remove the IPK and send it to Rick who only needs the unit for a day or two. I believe Rick has arranged for new displays to be manufactured but don't know if he has any yet. Good luck |

On my IPK icons and words are not displayed in the correct position. If I replace my IPK with a new one display, will it display correctly? |

Things are being displayed in the correct position, but you have lines missing from the display which gives that strange effect. It sometimes gets worse if you have not used the car or the weather is cold.

Yes it will - you just need someone with the skill to install the new screen hence the message about Ricksta - you can remove your instrument panel and send it to Rik and ask him to fit a new screen or try and repair the old screen - called de-lining - however your screen looks pretty bad and maybe beyond practical repair.

I thought about getting my new display fitted locally but decided it was best to send it to the expert Rick even though it meant being without the car for three weeks. Rick was quick and did the job in two days, the other time was the slow post transport. I wouldn't even consider a de-line, it does work and Rick did one for me but as he said might happen, the lines returned one year later and then when I saw the new displays I immediately bought one. Regards |

As steve-45 says, I only drive about once a month.
But whether the weather is hot or cold, I get such a strange display. I consider buying a new display and having Rick install it. Thank you everyone for your advice. |
