Turn back Time?? If Only.
As some of you have read and passed back kind comments, on a recent post of mine, I thank you all. If I had know what problems Saxo (Graham) has Perhaps I would not have been so flippant to one of his recent posts, I had put down (Get a life), which is not an appropriate comment to make to a guy who has (PTSS), I cant imagine what it must be like, I am aware he has friends on here who are supporting him at the moment, and fair play to you all, so perhaps it is I who should say sorry. Mods if you read this please lift his ban, give him another chance. Trikey / Marinabrian if you are in contact with him send my regards no offence taken and hope he gets on the mend very soon. Rev |

No need for apologies Rev, you were on the end of a rant that shouldn’t have been directed at you.
I’ll pass on your wishes to Graham when I chat with him later, we all want things to return to normal here (if they ever have been normal) Cheers mate

One cannot know all that is going on in other people's lives, and therefore we can only base our reactions on the evidence presented.
The Club does give us the opportunity to make contacts and friends and gain help when needed, it's great. Some of us though, may need help but not know how to ask. |

We cannot undo the past but we can all help to shape the future.

Still, although there may be underlying reasons for bad behaviour, for which people (including myself) may have sympathy for, it doesn't make it acceptable. I for one was surprised to read of the threatening PM being sent and did leap to a conclusion as to the culprit (rightly so as is confirmed here). I do hope that having underlying reasons while may give some scope for leniency isn't used to give carte blanche and excuse all transgressions of forum rules (which I must say were run ragged on the contentioius thread). Whilst the actual content of threat wasn't provided I think that there should still be a line drawn somewhere: and yes it's up to the site owner & moderators to decide where that is. I'd ask for a statement to be given as to the ongoing position of the site owners etc on where that line is drawn.

I've spoken to Graham today Julien, and he asked me to pass on his apologies.
He did go into great depth in conversation some time ago when relating his past experiences, and they are not pleasant in any shape or form, I for one wouldn't be able to cope with what he has seen. Brian |

I was under the impression that the line had been drawn and it's position was made very clear by Reebs in the aforementioned thread. However, when the line is crossed, each case should be considered on the basis of mitigating circumstances and a reasonable approach taken, which I believe is the case here. We must not establish rules that leave little or no room for compassion when justified by genuine circumstances. Just my view, of course. |
