Hope we are going to see lots of photos of your transformation......no not you, the house silly

What did you think about the Eden camp brochure
It's a catch twenty two situation with your neck, on one hand they are saying let it dry up without a dressing, on the other hand they are afraid of a serious infection getting into it.

Looks to be a very interesting and informative day out, all we need is a decent sunny day for it.

Look after yourselves both of you, see you soon.

Love Dawn and Julien.

OMG that's sounds terrible, we don't know how lucky we are here in England, good luck and please stay safe.

Probably get a photo of an empty wallet and a heartbroken man holding it.

Not a happy bunny at the moment - most of the furniture is absolutely superb - BUT
  1. A small sideboard has a crack in one leg and poorly fitted doors - one of which is catching on the frame as you open & shut it
  2. The 'display unit' which sits atop the sideboard has one door so far out of square it's unbelievable - AND the top has a gap between it and the upright at one side - big enough to bung a trysquare in(and in doing that, it proves it's a long way away from 90°)
No arguement from the driver and mate - they've photographed the faults and told the shop that both pieces need to be replaced. One of the girls from the shop did ring back and ask the driver if he could fix it by adjusting the hinges (which aren't of the adjustable type anyway) - his reply was rather short and to the point, as would mine have been
In total, the two pieces rejected have a combined price of over £750 - so I ain't going to accept anything but perfection.

I have dealt with the same supplier before, as has my daughter, and had no problems, so hopefully they'll replace the offending bits with no hassle.
Despite the delivery driver reporting the faults, and taking photos, I'm going to take my own photos, and email them to the shop with written details of the problems - just in case

Evenin' all, Some Chinese style chicken thighs with baked potato for tea, the missus is sticking with those weightwatchers meals, they are expensive & a rip off I hope this Chinese sauce the chicken is dipped in isn't too spicy, I've got IBS at the mo & I sound like an old boiler

Blimey Rod that sounds like bad workmanship you're right, for that money you want it to be right. a couple across the back from us got some of that well known Oak furniture from TV fame and the side of the dressing table had a crack in the side you could poke a pencil into, she pointed this out to the delivery guy who went back to the lorry to return with a tub of wood filler she sent him packing with the dressing table & told him to bring a 'A' class one & not a 'Seconds' one.

Funnily enough Ian - I avoided "that well known Oak furniture from TV fame" as I'd heard some iffy stories about them, and wasn't impressed by some of the samples in their showroom

It never works out like that Richard, as my travels don't run from January to December. In December I was in the UK for 1 month sorting out Mikes funeral etc. In May I am in the UK for 3 months. In September, I may well have to return to get LJW through its MOT. Then in October we could be in South Africa to start a new building project converting a farm store into a 4 bedroom apartment for the family. Those plans depend on how my scans go in London and if I need to stay on for treatment/surgery or not. It's been like that for the past 10 years Richard. I envy your stability not having to fly around every few months. I used to love flying, not any more. Thank you for asking
