Sorry Rod but I've found a rival to your pork pies, Huddleston's butchers in Windermere. Made on the premises, pork pies are lovely, they also do a chilli pork pie, its not spicy but the chilli adds a sweetness. Their Cumberland sausage is great as well, I love Cumberland sausage but it can tend to give me indigestion, their's don't.

There's a lot of really good grub on t'other side of t'Pennines. I am partial to a nice ring of Cumberland sausage
