Default hi line keeps running

hi all
like the title says, the tv unit is not shutting down when i turn the engine off and leave the car , the last couple of mornings ive had a flat battery so this morning i sat in the car and listened for about 15 minutes and the unit is still running so any ideas anybody

It's a common problem when water gets in and damages the unit, or when the sat nav drive hasn't been allowed to shutdown correctly before the battery is disconnected.

There is nothing you can do really except replace it with another second hand unit from ebay or anyone selling one in the club.

If your car has the earlier Mark II drive you'll need one of these



Or if it's the later Mark III, one of these



You can upgrade from a Mark II to a Mark III or even a BMW Mark IV (DVD version), but you'll need to disconnect the 'Trimble' GPS receiver which is located on top of the nav drive bracket on the Mark II systems only.
