Vista update
No not an answer to all the problems created by this latest MS system incarnation.

I am quite happy with my XP Pro, everything i own works on it, it is stable and I see no mission of me ever moving "up" to Vista in the foreseeable future. Yes, MS has shot themselves in the foot as far as I and 99% of my colleagues are concerned.
I personally have to date removed 6 Vista installs for customers, and replaced them with XP Pro or Home, and I know I am not alone in doing this.

Indeed!
We have no plans at all for a Vista rollout at work, dispite people (from directors to officers) asking if we are afraid of "falling behind". When I say no plans, I mean, no plans for at LEAST 12 months and that's just to get to a planning stage. I think the same goes for Office 2007 really. As Brian said, XP is now at a very stable stage and can go an entire working day without needing a reboot (which makes a nice change for an MS OS). If it's not broken, don't fix it and all that eh |
