Default 190 - was automatic an option?

Or only manual?

The ZT 180 is actually a 190 engine with same cam etc.

It's just down tuned slightly, solid remap would easily get the power rover denied it and more back into her.

Thanks, but from what I have read there are a number of physical differences including a different exhaust. I also know that the timing tools have a difference for the 190.

As for the question of whether the 190 hadan automatic option othe MG ZT wiki shows only a manual for the 190 and an auto for the 180. And what I have seen is consistent with that.

Same engine, same cams, same exhaust, different air box, standard Rover 75 brakes and 177 bhp like a standard Rover 75 auto.
Hope this helps.

A very useful document, and should clear up any future doubt!

Almost right Sean, but 180PS not 177PS different tune, different engine to the Rover 2.5 177PS

ZCS coding "VN" strings

177PS Rover 0100001042

180PS MG 0400001042

190PS MG 0200001042

T4 uses the "VN" part of the ZCS coding to determine which tune is applicable to the specification of the car, the first being a Rover 75 2.5 177, the second a 180 ZT, and finally the third being the 190.

The 180PS tune is a completely different assembly number to the 177PS, and the car drives in a completely different fashion.

The only part of the model launch bulletin that should be taken as gospel, is the car has a unique tune.
And according to the various go, no go rules that make up the infrastructure within the RDS software, which is at the heart of the T4 operating system, that tune is designated 180PS NOT 177PS

Brian
