The trumpet section is a totally different size.
From memory the standard one is 70mm one end tapering down to about 60mm in a cylindrical profile.

The 190 one profiles out into a flat oval

I have a 190 box on my 75, I bought a 190 mount to go with it, the air intake fitting for the shannon tube is more like 75mm or 80mm, I simply got a flexible tube and placed it in the wing area without the plastic as I couldn't get a hold of one easily.

Made a good difference to the noise, potentially allowed more breathing but nothing you will feel, takes the same air filter etc.

If you want photos check the rimmer bros site.

Rimmer bros site does not give photos and only has the standard performance box

the Rimmers site also would not show any internal differences

You'd get the shape of the plastic tube fitted to the end of the shannon tube though, the air boxes themselves look the same from the top. The air inlet points toward the front of the car, as apposed to the standard box which goes down through the mount.

Overall, dimensions are increased and no trumpet is found inside. Resulting in different flow characteristics.

Hi Daz.
Here you go 190 as the flat funnel the 2.0etc as the round funnel on the end of the Shannon tube, quite a lot of the nano members have changed over to the 190 air box, because air flow is better drop Jamie a PM he should have photo's of both as he did this not long back at the meet on his 160 pics below

if you are doing this job, I've found that there is no way to secure the zt 190 'trumpet' part that goes on the furthermost end of the shannon tube and fits up in the wing. I can't find a way to get this trumpet to fit in that space on my rover 75 - if anyone who has done this is reading this, can you advise me how you fitted this all in, as I can see no way other than not to use it and just secure the end of the shannon tube up high in the wing somehow.

Is it worth the bother? I run my 190 without a shannon tube, cant say i noticed a difference with/without, but i'm willing to be persuaded that there may be a few horses somewhere?
