Default Received today.

Hi.
Well mine came today, really really quick.
No customs or any surcharges.
Given it a wee bench test and can say it's worth the cash. Will fit it this week and have a wee play around.
Here are some pictures including a feed from a 12 v freeview box!

These arrive pretty quick, less than a week in some cases, very impressive.

Trevor, can you check if your unit switches back on after switching off when in 'Music Mode' (playing music from memory card or USB).

Can you check your firmware version and build date, cheers.

My version is V5.5BT-FK-TP.
Date: 2016.02.24.

Steve has version V5.6BT-FK-TP
Date 2016-04-08.

Thanks for that Trevor.

I'm not sure if it makes a difference when unit is wired to vehicle or not, but once you have yours installed and get playing, could you test one thing for me?

Play some music from memory card and turn the unit off using the power button, the unit should obviously turn off and stay off. But! mine sometimes powers back on again and continues playing, this happens with the one I have in the ZT, and in SWMBO Ford.

If I am listening to Radio, its fine... it turns off and stays off.

Reference the remote control, its nice and shiny under the clear film.

Mine came yesterday. The version is V5.6BT-FK-TP
First impression - very good sound quality. Nevertheless the radio reception is very poor. The station scan is able to capture only half of the available FM radio stations - some with a lots of noise.

Anyone else experiencing bad FM reception?

Have you selected 'Europe' under the radio settings.

I can pick up all radio stations as before, sometimes the scan may miss a few, I just perform another scan or go back and input manually.

Hi.
Well mine is in and looks the part!
The radio scan is patchy but it locks onto stations well and is sensitive, Radio Ulster that is weak here comes in fine.
Remember to switch the "LOC" OFF which is local to get best sensitivity.
Unfortunately this basic version doesn't have RDS so no traffic facility or AF which will retune to the best signal on a journey, quite surprising as it probably already in the set but turned off in software!

Mine exhibits the powering back on when switching off from playing music on the memory card.
Audio quality is good for a low priced unit and it shows up the poor quality of Rovers door speakers.

For the money its not a bad purchase but I would say the higher up versions could be more useful.
I don't have a problem though as I am not a high mileage driver and RDS although useful I am happy to live without it.
Pity there is no AM, will need to keep my Bush TR82 in the boot
