Help sourcing a gearbox seal
Hi folks,
I'm in need of a gearbox first motion shaft oil seal. (Found in the recess around in the first motion shaft). It is a totally different seal to the one supplied with the guide tube. The seal is black, round and seat around the outside of the first motion shaft bearing. Thanks R |

May have just found it? Took a bit of searching.
Part number TYX100560 Just in case my description is confusing, With the guide tube removed, looking inside the box, directly looking at the bearing for the motion shaft, there should a be a very narrow diameter black seal. The guide tube is then slid over the first motion shaft and bolted down. The seal I need is the narrow diameter seal that sits in the gearbox before the guide tube is fitted. Could anyone confirm the above part number is the correct seal ? Thanks |

Yeah, I believe that is the correct seal.
On a side note, I'm also in need of a handbrake compensator, anyone have a link to where I can get one ? Thanks |

I think Steve fits new Mini compensators these days - they work perfectly but you need to use the Mini cable from the compensator to the handbrake.

I'll take a look into it, I was aware of the r50 handbrake mod. There's plenty in breakers nearby so I may just grab one.
Thanks R |
