Default Multi Car Insurance

Those of you with 2 or 3 cars to your name - can I ask who you insure with - do you use one single policy or is it better to have separate policies?

I've generally got at least two cars, and I've always found it cheaper to have seperate policies. However, I am just 22, and I suspect that as you get older it's cheaper to have a multicar, sometimes!
If I'm not keeping something long, or I can't decide, I pop it on as a temporary additional vehicle.

Admiral multicar here, but every person will be different. Simplest thing would be to get quotes for separate policies first then try Admiral. They are the only ones that do true multicar apparently. I'm happy with what they provide and it suits me well.. They've been fine with me chopping and changing cars over and since me wife done a runner, it saved me loads taking the additional driver off too!

If each car has a named driver check which way round is cheaper. My wife drives "my" car and I drive "her" car (the Rover) all the time, because it was cheaper for the Rover policy to be in her name than in my name. Insurance company was quite happy to run the sums both ways and let either of us drive either car any time we wanted.

if you are 'low risk' on age/history etc try Liverpool Victoria. I always hunt around but have stayed with the for years now. Not as cheap as the real junk policies but cheap and genuine discount on multiple cars. also you get free policy changes if you have stuck with them for years. This helps me as im always changing my cars

Cheers
