Default Facelift Diesel overrun whine

Well contrary to what has been reported on the forum, after forking out best part of £100+ on a new Bosch regulator I can say it has not cured my overrun whine issue on my facelift tourer.

That and the change of aircon belt and tensioner to reduce the aircon noise which also did nothing.

How peeved am I.

I thought it was solved with a new regulator but no.

I thought the new regulators were the problem Stubie - didn't someone stop it by fitting an old regulator? Jules knows about this problem so could be worth contacting him.

As I read it, I don't think there is a single definitive solution: http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...ead.php?t=8256

Hi guys ive noticed that I still get the overrun whine on my cdt with under bonnet pump all Be it not as loud as my facelift ive sort of got use to it now and would be worried if I couldn't hear it as I would think there is something wrong so it doesn't really bother me now and believe its just a characteristic of the engine
