2nd builder arrived dead on time, and before he knocked he went and had a look at Banana. He used to have a Trophy Yellow ZR. Had to sell it so he could buy a van to start up his building business. Now he is trying to buy it back.



He explained what was wrong with the crack in the wall. He basically said the same as the first builder but he went into more detail on the repair. Waiting on the estimate.

There was a bit of urgency about getting the stick, Ging is going to the Philippines in a week or so for about a month. I'm not going, two reasons:
1/ discovered when we went to Rome that Suzy gets terrible separation anxiety, I mean really bad. Our neighbour was feeding the girls and letting them out, for two or three days Suzy wouldn't eat, just sat staring into space. We're her third "parents" so she probably thought she was being abandoned again couldn't leave her for a month.
2/ its about a 14 hour flight, it was bad enough when I was younger and fitter but now . . . . christ I'd probably need the services of a chiropractor to get off the plane.

I am sorry to read you are having such a hard time with the aches and pains.

Thank you Steve for updating us about Suzy’s separation anxiety which is a real problem both for pet and owner, you made the right decision to stay and look after her.

14 hours is a long flight and tiring and I am sure you are well treated when you get there and so you will be missed by Ging and the family but it can’t be helped.

Our flight to Kenya is only 9 hours and for our next flight, I have booked economy comfort plus seats which have extra recline, extra legroom and the centre seat is also reserved for our use (not expensive).

I have booked wheelchairs all the way given Jessica’s recent hip replacement and my op, it all helps to get through procedures.

Thank goodness Steve you have a 4x4, the driving could be challenging but I know you are up to the task and will get through the bad weather

I've had at least one dog around since I was about 5 years old and Suzy is the sweetest, most laid back dog I've ever known, wish we'd had her from a pup. Her first owner apparently just wanted rid of her, no idea why, never understood that Her second owner shared a garden with a neighbour who had two large dogs, discovered Suzy is terrified of large dogs to the point that she'll attack if cornered. As you can imagine that was a disaster waiting to happen, her reason for selling her is perfectly understandable, that's when I got her. Never forget when I got Suzy home, Poppy was just a little ball of fluff, I opened the back door, Poppy ran out barking at Suzy . . . . Suzy thought WTF is that! She ran and hit in the furthest corner of the garden Within an hour they were best friends. Pic from around that time:

Well that was a busy one, changed the battery on the tractor before the rain arrived in force!

Then fitted two new ballcocks in the horses troughs (in monsoon type weather)

Soaked through I then decided to replace the chopped up poly pipe that the Gardner had chopped through (we hired this guy with a tank type mower that cut through all the gorse bushes, pity he didn't notice the pipework)

Inside for a shower, dry clothes and a cuppa... only to then be greeted buy a delivery of 4t of sand and cement.

Soaked again as it was being unloaded....
