Rover 751.8litre petrol engine

Goodday all trust you well and safe,got a problem with my 75 i get moisture on cap and she misfiring when i start her,then she clears up ,funny part is pipes not swelling, wht cpuld be the problem?

Leaking inlet manifold gasket has been known to cause this.

The inlet manifold gasket is a known point of failure, it can leak coolant into the engine usually via cylinders 1 or 4 and symptoms can vary depending on the degree of leakage. A good start is to check the spark plugs, coolant getting into a cylinder can leave its plug's insulator looking bleached and white in comparison to other plugs.

Another yes from me so a that's unanimous as a starting point.
Obviously this fault will will be accompanied by a slow loss of coolant , so if you been topping up periodically with no evident leak that could be why

Yep, inlet manifold gasket leaking. When the engine cools coolant seeps into the inlet causing the misfire on starting then the leak seals when the engine warms up and the misfire goes away once the coolant burns off.
