Default ZT-T supercharged for sale

Just seen a local car yard selling a ZT tourer wagon 2.5 with sprintex supercharger.
It’s a two tone paint job with a small bit of rear paint damage on the rear bumper.
Quite a rare car I’d say, especially over here.
On ever seen one other but was a sedan.
Sprintex was / is a local Australian company here in Perth but not sure if they are still in business.
Seem to recall people were worried the supercharger would blow the kv6 engines up ? This one still seems ok.

Wish it was in Scotland, would love to fit it to my ZTT 190 and see if I can blow it up!

Could ask him if he'd deliver?

Slightly strange paint scheme

The kits never worked in the first place nearly all that left the factory blew up. A few kits came to this country and the same thing happened the engines blew up. A few people have taken on the challenge to make them work on the MG ZS community but it has cost them an a lot of money.
I am very surprised that they supercharged an auto, as the auto box can't handle more than 180 bhp.
The only kits available are on the second hand market BUT you will need to do a lot of engine modifications and modifications on the charger its self that sprintex did not do. At the end of the day a great idea BUT F up because of lack of R&D from both companies.

I don’t like the look of the top of the header tank. Looks like it’s been blowing water out. Could be needing a new cap..............or something else?

If it’s as stated “running fine” the engine has done about 170,000km so I’d assume the supercharger is still working and the auto box also is working.
I to looked at the coolant cap thinking somthings been leaking.
Not sure it’s worth 4K with rear damage.
As said I know there is at least one other 220s over here but was a sedan.
I wonder what BHP these things pushed out?
Edit- just checked out specs, says they produce 221 bhp !!

It'd go like stink - if only for a while...:-) The header tank white leakage looks like HGF or similar, possibly. It's a great idea though! -my MG ZT is a turbo, as is my Volvo V70 and those are nippy enough. A supercharger would be a lot of fun... but how long would it go for? Back end looks like bumper come away at its fixings - possibly not major repair. Paintwork and possible corrosion might be more.
