Default Harman Kardon, is it any good?

Hello all,

I'm considering going to see this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ROVER-75-...8AAOSwJ-pbGRTf over the next few days and one of the points swaying me towards it is the Harman Kardon sound system.

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with it and could give an opinion on how good it is? The car is around 100 miles from me otherwise I'd just wait until I was with the car

Many Thanks,

Stephen

My second car was with the casual sound system.
Bought and fit full H/K set - nothing compares ...
Total improvement.
Recommend!

Regards

Frankly compared to a good modern head unit and quality speakers the HK system isn't that special.

I'm fortunate enough to have the Harmon Kardon set up in both of my 2.5's and there is a definite and worthwhile improvement over the standard Harmony powered one in my 1.8. It wouldn't be the reason why I'd buy a particular car, but if it is already in it I would regard it as a definite bonus.

I have both versions, normal and HK. For me there is big difference between them.
HK is definitely better, and specially if remembered its 20-year old system, not bad at all.
Just like our cars

Big plus is to have the BM54 tuner as well!
If your feeling adventuress you could even go hands free then!
