Another fan of Pirtek here Dave, they have made more than a few for my trikes over the years, some nice braided ones too.

We make hydraulic hoses at my work and was forced to use Pirtek because the mechanic was stuck out on site. Got the invoice from them today and their charges are horrendous, a ferrule we charge £1.40 theirs £4.75 hose we’re £5.40 mtr they’re £23.40 and hose assembly we charge £9.00 they charge £23.00 so it was over £100 for two 1/4 hoses where we’d have charged less than a quarter of that. If you’re completely stuck it may well be the way to go but check with the smaller independents and particularly agricultural dealers as most have hose making facilities

Testing times for you Dave,
Hoses failed due to age and deterioration at a guess as if it was excess pressure the filler cap would have popped off first.

Try local hose manufacturers if you can take the old one in they'll make it up for you I've used local ones before & when on the buses we used pirtek if we needed one quick and onsite.

My last work where we built fire appliances we made them all in house.

With the miles on the engine would it be better to source a lower mileage one instead of a rebuild?

Dave, what Ian suggested is probably your easy way out.
Father in law has a ‘67 Mustang and he had power steering hoses made up at a local agricultural machinery dealers. They had all the parts in and made them up while he waited. Took the originals as samples to copy
This was a few years ago though. There’ll be plenty of agricultural workshops near you, I guess?

Found a firm in Anglesey in act just short from the national meet area.
Sbarion https://www.sbarion.com/

and holly beep do they make some damn find products.

Do you know what beep it I'm going too replace not just one pipe but all of the power steering pipes altogether and get them done for good.

When I have spare cash and when the engine is 100% spot on once I've done everything I'll change as many pipes as I can.

Its going too take longer then I thought, during my inspection earlier on, from looking at it there may be possibly a burst pipe and this is a real pain in the beep too get too.

Hoping that's not the case and its just looks like its after the other one burst.
