Default Inlet Manifold leak ?

Just took the inlet manifold and EGR off to give it a good clean out but i have noticed a lot of oil on the right hand top side

Would that be coming from the manifold or is there something else near there it could be coming from ?

Also how do you clean the inlet pipes that the manifold bolts to seen in the picture ?

having taken mine to bits quite a few times from what I know there is no way to clean inlet pipes what I did was clean my manifold and EGR thoroughly changed replaced gaskets on manifold you are bound to have some carbon build up .

The two injectors on the right have rusty bodies.---The one on the left has rust on it too. The second from the left has oil on its body.-- Could be the leak that's showing on the manifold connection next to it.------

Worth checking the O ring on the cam sensor - looks like oil is seeping from there.

Hi Mark.
Don't bother trying to clean the inlet ports out just wipe the cover faces clean before refitting the manifold, wipe the area where there seems to be oil, does the engine cover have any oil in the same position, if so it could be the injector is leaking or as leaked in the past.

Mike maybe on the right track though.

Seals if you need any but i always use the same ones.

really good advice provided by members but sometimes it is best to have a mechanic look at it I have my own mechanic especially for jobs I am unsure about.
