Default new droplinks grease question

Hi on a ZTT looking to replace the front droplinks are they sealed or do you advise packing extra grease in before fitting ?

They are sealed, with a circular spring or clip. Some inject more grease using a syringe, I've never bothered but each to their own. Maybe the supplier of mine, DMGRS could advise, never had one fail from him even after years of fitting.

yes, and yes.

All of the droplinks I have replaced with have had a coil of fine steel (like a cheap key ring) used to seal the boot. Ease this off, and add some hub grease (there is no harm in doing it). Give it a good swivel around and add a little more, then refit the boot.

If the boots are sealed with some kind of glue, clean and degrease the area well then a little superglue should work.

I have not had to replace any beyond the originals due to failure, but replaced when trying to isolate a clunk, or the struts were replaced.

I usually remove the rubber boot and add more grease. Sometimes they are already well greased and sometimes there is a very small blob of grease on the lead in to the ball but the ball is dry!

Only use lubricants suitable for plastic/nylon as lubes for steel can wear the socket! White grease type ?
