AFAIK they bump up the turbo boost pressure by a few PSI.

Nothing terribly advanced just a spring after all nothing you can't make up yourself, once you know the spring rate !

You might try a PM to Richard Evans (Ti Rich). He still visits the forum. He fitted mine amongst others and could probably give you chapter and verse.

He fitted mine on VeeKay in about 20 minutes with only minimal swearing
