Default ZT Exhaust Tailpipes

Hi Guys
I am looking to fit a nice Chrome double tailpipe to my ZT i don,t want to upgrade the exhaust system and spent loads of money etc all i want is something that will just fit over the existing tailpipes and stick out a couple of inches just to finish of the look, As you all may be aware when they made the mg zts for some reason they don't do a good job on style on the back part of the exhaust,

The problem i am having is finding something that will just fit over the originals has mine seems to be like a 75 exhaust where the end pipes curve down a bit at the end(see pics below). As anyone had the same problem or
Can anyone point me in the right direction of someone that makes them or if someone has done it on here could you let me know where you got them from and how much it cost

Look forward to your replies

I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for - but Halfords sell chrome exhaust finishers. You just slide them over the outlet & lock them in using a locking nut.

You'd need 2 for the finish you're looking for.

That is what i am after but the problem i see is that the tailpipes that are on the end of my car curve down a bit at the end and i think anything you fit on the end will point down towards the ground, and i was just wondering if anyone else had this problem and what they did to fit the chrome exhaust finishers or if there was someone that makes them for the ZT

The exhaust was on the car when i brought it ,With full service history and doc,s and shows nothing about having a new exhaust so in my mind its the original ,but it does look like a 75 exhaust compared to other ZT ones i have seen

I have had this system on my 160 since I bought her earlier in the year, apart from not being a V6 how come the tail pipes are different to Marks 180 ?.

Cheers
Tony

I dont think youre going to get anything to fit over them.

All i can think of is to pm SMC or Messenger and see if they have a serviceable second had zt one ( there and different ones so be aware) and get it fitted, then if you wont get some chrome finishers.

Thinking about it Zeb might have a brand new back box, although its for a ZTT (i belive it can be made to fit) and its for a 2.5 (160) i dont know if they are the same for the 180.
