What does this do?
Not a Technical problem, more of a curiosity.
What is the copper coloured tube with a Blue cap for just to teh left of the Accelerator cable? I noticed by removing the Blue Cap there appears to be a Valve of some sort. Is this used to depressurise the Fuel system or something else? I looked in Haynes but find no reference to it whatsoever. Sorry for being thick, but if you don't ask, you will never learn

Also quite useful for bleeding the air out when you have had the fuel rail in bits

It's called the SCHRAEDER valve.

FYI a Schraeder valve is just the type of valve, not it's purpose. Schraeder valves use rubber seals are what are used for tyres on cars and some bicycles. Bicycles which run higher pressures use a different type of valve with a screw-down metal seal. These are 'Presta' valves.
